Canada will put new taxes on things from the United States. These taxes will be on many products. They will be on steel, furniture, fresh tuna, and makeup. The taxes could be up to 50%. This is part of a trade fight between the two countries.
Canada and the United States have been having a trade war. Canada is now answering back with these taxes. The taxes will match the ones the United States put on Canadian goods. This is called 'dollar-for-dollar'. Canada wants to show it is strong in this trade fight.
