Holidaymakers warned about 'explosive diarrhoea' cyclospora parasite infection
There is a new health problem in the UK. It is called cyclospora. Cyclospora is a parasite. It makes people sick. People get it from food or water. Since April, 67 people in the UK got sick. Many of them went to Mexico. They got sick after coming back.
Cyclospora causes bad stomach problems. People can have explosive diarrhoea. This is very uncomfortable. It is important to be careful when traveling. People should wash their hands often. They should drink clean water. They should also eat clean food. This can help stop the spread of cyclospora.
