Privacy Policy

Dubara / Learn by Translating ("the service") helps you learn languages by translating sentences and reading news articles. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account data — your email address (if you create an account) and a random user identifier. The iOS app can be used anonymously; anonymous accounts have no email.
• Learning content — the translations you type, words you save, your language pair, level, topics, points, and streaks.
• Subscription status — managed by RevenueCat and Apple. We never see your payment details.

How your data is processed

• Your data is stored with Supabase (hosted in the EU, eu-west-1).
• Sentences you translate and words you tap are sent to AI providers (OpenAI / OpenRouter) to generate exercises, grade translations, and produce hints and speech. These requests contain only the learning content needed for the feature — never your email or identity.
• RevenueCat processes subscription events tied to your user identifier.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, or photos.

Your rights

You can delete your saved words and attempts in the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at info@dubara.io and we will remove it within 30 days.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13.
